Gail Reeve-Jones: Work Profile

My strengths include the ability to identify, interpret and fulfil commercial needs, respond well to a brief and meet tight deadlines. Initially I worked with collage and montage for clients largely within the advertising arena. Then, during the 90's, I developed and promoted my personal interest and technique of painting on fabric, experimenting with many methods of distressing the material and drawing on different cultural influences to produce evocative and mystical images which appealed to a different market, (Publishing: books & magazines, Fine Art/one-off pieces:galleries and retail outlets, and card & gift wrap companies).

I have also worked extensively in Interiors, both independently and in collaboration with Furniture/ Industrial designers, creating hard and soft -furnishings and interior statements. Theatre set and costume design features too in my folio having illustrated for the 'Musicals Collection' for five years, and worked for the BBC on costumes for a dance production.
